The task force has been charged with studying potential public higher education operational efficiencies, cost-saving measures and improvements that could be implemented in the future at either the statewide or institutional level. The work of this group will focus on an array of issues and opportunities ranging from energy conservation to creating greener campuses as a means of helping to overcome anticipated budgetary challenges in FY 2010 and beyond. Regardless of the outcomes of our work, public higher education institutions across the state will benefit from greater communication, information-sharing and collaboration as we endeavor to fulfill our respective missions in these rapidly shifting and uncertain economic times.
